About El Echad Foundation
Empowering Lives, Envisioning Change
El Echad Foundation emerged from a deep-seated desire to address the challenges faced by the most vulnerable in Nigerian society. As a faith-based, non-governmental organization, we are driven by a mission to uplift individuals living with disabilities and to combat societal and economic inequalities.
Our programs encompass a range of initiatives, including advocacy for disability rights, educational support, vocational training, and hunger relief efforts.
Our Team
Favour Ugwumba is the Founder and Executive Director of El Echad Foundation. She is an experience Communicator and Administrator. Her passion for showing the love of God and serving the humanitarian community has fueled her desire to see a positively transformed world. She is at the forefront of El Echad initiatives that aim to ensure all children thrive, learn, and have the opportunity to actively contribute to their communities. She has experience in advocacy for and action for child health and education, menstrual hygiene sensitization, entrepreneurship support for youths, and more.
Otuto Amarauche Chukwu is the Co-founder and Secretary of the governing board of El Echad Foundation. He is a licensed pharmacist and multiple award-winning scholar and Social Impact Innovator with over a decade’s experience in health systems strengthening and policy research in sub-Saharan Africa. He is a Vanier Scholar, a Junior Fellow at Massey College, a Fellow of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, and an associate fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society. He also brings development sector expertise to the work of the Foundation.
Precious Nwafor is the Finance Officer of El Echad Foundation and a member of the governing board. She holds a B.Sc in Banking and Finance, an M.Sc in Service Marketing, and certifications in human resource management and project management. She is a trader on the New York Stock Exchange. She has private sector experience in the sales and marketing industry. She is responsible for various financial aspects of El Echad’s operations, including monthly financial reports and budget planning. Her heart and passion to serve is what drives her as a wife, mother, and an active team member of El Echad Foundation.
